Amyl and the Sniffers Add More Screenings for Concert Film Truth or Consequence

Demand has pushed Amyl and the Sniffers to schedule extra theatrical dates for their concert film, Truth or Consequence.

The Melbourne punk band's touring release already had stops lined up across Australia, Europe, North America, and South America, including Adelaide, Belfast, Berlin, Brisbane, Chicago, Dublin, Glasgow, Manchester, Melbourne, Paris, San Francisco, and Sydney. The new encore sessions add Austin, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Liverpool, London, Los Angeles, and New York to that list.

Directed by John Angus Stewart, a frequent collaborator with the band, Truth or Consequence was shot live at El Coyote Mexican Restaurant on Beverly Boulevard in Los Angeles. Rather than a standard live set, the film catches the band reworking their own catalogue into country arrangements, throwing in two unreleased songs and a rendition of Slim Dusty's "Lights on the Hill" for a crowd that gets progressively louder as the night goes on.

A live album sharing the film's title and tracklist is set to land September 4 via Virgin Music Group (VMG), timed to the expanded run.
