The Linda Lindas Want You to Feel Something Uncomfortable

Punk was never meant to be comfortable, and The Linda Lindas aren’t about to start now. The L.A. favorites just dropped their new single “Blood On Our Hands,” an electric statement of political fury, paired with a live video from director Ryan Baxley that lets the song’s urgency and infectious energy breathe and flourish just the way it was meant to.
Bassist Eloise Wong made sure to point out that this isn’t protest-as-aesthetic, it’s meant as a daily practice. Wong says that the song is about “thinking every day about where your money goes.” It may feel like a small line, but it represents what sets this band apart from their riot-grrrl-adjacent peers: the politics aren’t a marketing angle, they’re actually the whole entire point.
“Blood On Our Hands” is the third single off the band's forthcoming record, Gotta Get Out, due out August 28th via Reprise/Warner Records, following the acclaimed earlier singles “Closer” (featuring Hayley Williams) and “Burning Out.”
Rather than writing apart and assembling later, the four members holed up together in Palm Springs and Long Beach, a first for the band during their writing process. By their own account, that shift in the room translated to a shift in the music. What resulted is a record that reaches further sonically while staying grounded in the band’s core instincts: righteous, unfiltered, anger pointed at something that’s worth being angry about.
Now don’t you worry, there is a tour to back it up. The band hits the road this fall across North America with a stacked cast of support that’s more than enough to excite: The Rat Utopia Experiment, VIAL, Deux Visages, Adan Diaz, and Grace Bowers will all join the tour for a turn on the bill. There’s also West Coast dates opening for Bleachers in September and a stop at Tom Morello’s Power to the People Festival in Columbia, Maryland.
The tour kicks off on September 16th in Sacramento and winds through Berkeley, Chicago, Boston, Brooklyn, Toronto, Atlanta, and Austin before wrapping up on November 7th at the Hollywood Bowl where the band will support Jimmy Eat World. You can find your tickets on sale now linked here.

Brought to you by sisters Mila and Lucia de la Garza, their cousin Eloise Wong, and their family friend Bela Salazar, The Linda Lindas cut their teeth playing all-ages punk matinees in L.A.’s Chinatown before opening for legends like Bikini Kill, Green Day, and Paramore. The band broke through in 2021 with a viral clip of “Racist, Secist, Boy” performed at the Los Angeles Public Library and have since released two acclaimed studio albums.
